There are three main reasons the Democrat Party opposes President Trump's border wall
and want to keep the government shut down.

1. Approving a border wall would allow Trump to fulfill a campaign promise. Democrats know if Trump fails to deliver the promise of a border wall, it would hurt his base. The first President Bush said, "No new taxes." However, a Democrat Congress passed a bill increasing taxes and he signed it. As a result, Bush lost reelection. Democrats will do anything to stop a second Trump term. As a result, they have reversed positions they have previously held for one simple reason: To hurt Trump!

2. A continued shutdown is a drag on the economy. This is Trump's economy. If the Democrats can destroy it or even hinder it... they will! Trump is dismantling everything Democrats believe in. They want to stop him at all costs. Look at the effort to start a phony investigation against him with the Steele Dossier. Look at what they did do Brett Kavanaugh... Democrats will stop at nothing - including destroying the economy to get rid of Trump!

3. Democrats count on illegal immigrants for votes. It is why Democrats oppose voter ID laws. Democrats have traditionally traded government handouts for votes. The more illegal immigrants on government handoits, the more votes for them. Once illegal immigrants ae here- they grant them amnesty, call them DREAMERS or even just allow them to get a driver license and vote... It does not matter if illegal immigrants or terrorists come across the border to murder or rape children, Democrats care about one thing- keeping power (votes).

There is no rational reason for opposing a strong border and border wall where it makes sense. A strong border pays for itself, because it will hinder and stop illegal immigration coming to America, which is costly. Also - when you encourage illegal immigration, you encourage dangerous long journeys by people across waters and deserts... Recently a migrant boat capsized and over a hundred of migrants from Africa drowned.

All reasons against a border wall are a betrayal of America by the Democrat Party. Democrats should be supporting a president that wants to protect America. Democrats should be wanting an economy that is prospering. The Democrat Party should not be placing their own political ambitions over the security of America.
